The Playground

It’s form is a child

Watching over the playground

Always hunting its prey

You may think on the young at play

It’s going to feast

I assure you not

For truly you see

The young are its heart

Full of life

Vibrantly free

That is what it protects

You must see

There are those it hunts

Just outside the playground fronts

Here are the predators that be

Very violent

So obscene

You must stay clear

Or in danger you’ll be

Remain and be seen

And leave them to me

Keeping this playground safe

For you and I
