Where We Live

As the morning’s day begins to warm

A breeze stirs

It sets free the coolness trapped

Under the shade of the trees

As the coolness of night begins to take hold

The evening is filled

With the rhythmic sounds of nature

In the darkness of night

The stars the moon

Illuminate the skies

In the light of day

The sun shines forth

For all to see the beauty

Could this be home

Where we live

Nations

Take me in

Wipe me clean

I’m so dirty

From all your exhortations

I have no expectations

I see a revelation

It will birth a new generation

Beyond comprehension

Filled with apprehension

I see the tension

Wanting ascension

Master invention

Put you in another dimension

No longer held in suspension

Giving you plenty of extension

With special attention

Who’s running this convention

Devilishly poetic

Might be genetic

Fully kinetic

We got that connection

Shifting directions

Reflecting perfection

Serving introspection

All demanding respect

While under investigation

Stop with the exaggeration

We are all in this together

Give a standing ovation

To all the nations

The Desolation Of Sorrow

I have desecrated this temple

How it brings such sorrow

It dampens my hope

For a better tomorrow

On time that is burrowed

How I wallow in tribulation

Where is my salvation

I’m filled with aspiration

Wanting only divination

I’m given only devastation

Living with no expectations

Enjoying your speculations

While wishing for vindication

I feel so violated

Where is my compensation

Don’t want your domination

I control the sensation

Save your deprivation

Displaying demonstration

Refusing stagnation

Showing confirmation

Of restoration

The proclamation

Of preservation

Preparing for visitation

Then we will have clarification

No cheap imitation

I’ve extended the invitation

When you end the damnation

There will be a new revelation

Then will begin

The desolation of sorrow
